Privacy Policy

Most Precious Blood Parish (“the parish”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, forms and text messaging, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

  • Parish registration: names, email addresses, phone numbers and mailing address for your household, the names and birth dates of children you list, and any notes you send us.
  • Parish directory: if your family is listed, the details you choose to share: names, address, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays and anniversary (only if you choose to show them), parish groups and a family photo (if you upload one).
  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
  • Text messaging (SMS): your mobile phone number, your consent to receive texts, and the messages you exchange with the parish office.
  • Donations: online gifts are processed by PayPal. We do not see or store your card or bank details. PayPal shares your name, email address and gift amount with us so we can record and acknowledge your gift.
  • Website visits: like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as IP addresses and the pages requested. We use it only to keep the site secure and working. Our website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.

How we use your information

We use your information only for parish purposes:

  • To register your household and keep parish records, including sacramental records.
  • To answer your questions and requests and to arrange sacraments and appointments.
  • To contact you about parish matters such as schedule changes, events and announcements, by email, phone or text message (texts only if you have agreed to receive them).
  • To record and acknowledge donations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Parish directory

Our online parish directory is available only to registered parishioners, who sign in with their email address and a one-time code. If you ask to be included when you register, your family appears in the directory once the parish office approves your registration.

  • Other signed-in parishioners can see your family’s listed details. Anything you mark private is visible only to parish staff.
  • Children are shown by first name only. Their birthdays appear only if you choose to show them, and never with the year.
  • You can update your information, hide details, remove your family from the directory, or unregister from the parish at any time by signing in to the directory or contacting the parish office.
  • Parishioners may download a family’s contact card or a printable copy of the directory for their own personal use. Private details are never included.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate, solely to provide their services to the parish: Amazon Web Services (website hosting and email delivery), Microsoft 365 (parish email and calendar), RingCentral (phone and text messaging) and PayPal (online donations).
  • Others when required by law or to protect the safety of any person.

SMS consent is not shared with third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing described above and will not be shared with any third parties.

Text messaging

If you agree to receive text messages from the parish, our SMS Terms explain what we send and how to stop. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of registering with the parish.

Children

Our website is not directed to children, and children should not submit information through it. Parents or guardians may list their children’s names and birth dates when registering their household.

How we protect and keep your information

Website form submissions are stored in an encrypted database that only authorized parish staff can access, using individual accounts with multi-factor authentication. We keep registration information while you are a parishioner and as long as needed for parish and sacramental records.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct or update your information, or to remove information we are not required to keep, by contacting the parish office at secretary@mpbptulsa.com or 918-615-8404.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version on this page.
