Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacrament through which the Holy Ghost comes to us in a special way and enables us to profess our faith as strong and perfect Christians and soldiers of Jesus Christ. To receive Confirmation properly, it is necessary to be in the state of grace, and to know well the chief truths and duties of the Catholic faith. The bishop is the usual minister of Confirmation.

This sacrament is not only for children.

Eligible registered parishioners must be at least 8 years of age and must provide a copy of their Baptismal Certificate. The sponsor must be a practicing Catholic, the same sex as the confirmandi (but not a parent). Proxies may be used. The Confirmation name must be a saint’s name and will be their patron saint.

If you or your child qualifies, please send an email to Kim Homoney at [email protected] in order to be added to the roster.

Confirmations for Most Precious Blood parishioners usually occur in October.
